Raising Money

PAWS is a Charity or non-profit Organization. This means that PAWS does not make money to get rich. Instead, people just like you, give PAWS money to take care of the animals and teach people about animals. A little bit of the money also comes from the government. PAWS uses the money we get to pay for food and medicine, to build cages and pay the animal experts who work at PAWS.

We also host fundraisers, which are events that help raise money for PAWS. We have two big events each year. One is a fancy party called Wild Night, where people attend a dinner and get to participate in an auction. The other event is PAWSwalk, a dog walk-athon and animal festival.

There are also many people who collect donations on their own to help PAWS. If you would like to learn more about how to collect donations and other ways to help the animals at PAWS, visit How to Help section of the Kids Website.
