Start an Animal Club

There is power in numbers! School clubs are a great way to get people together to help animals. If your school doesn’t already have an animal or environmental club, then start your own. Work with your teachers and friends to form a club. Here some project ideas you can work on as a group:

  • Create a newsletter about animals.
  • Write an article for your school paper or letter to the editor.
  • Set up a table and share information at special events.
  • Make animal fact bookmarks for the school or Public library.
  • Ask animal professionals to come and talk to your class.
  • Paint posters or murals about caring for animals.
  • Publish pictures of adoptable shelter animals in your school newspaper.
  • Help wild animals by organizing a litter clean-up day for your neighborhood.
  • Make wildlife Habitat at school by creating a native plant garden.
