PAWS Kids Workshops

Introducing two unique PAWS Kids Workshops on selected dates. Each program provides an interactive and fun learning experience at the PAWS Campus, located in Lynnwood, Washington. 

CRAZY ABOUT CATS AND CANINES
Course # KW01C

Grade Level: 3rd thru 6th
Number of presentations: 1
Length of presentation: 3.5 hours 
 

Date: February 12th, 2010 (Class is full)
Time:   9:30am – 1:00pm
Fee: $15 per participant, to cover the cost of materials

Description: If you love cats and dogs, join us in this half-day workshop to learn more about pet Behavior and how to train in a positive way! You will also have an opportunity to visit with one of our adoptable cats or dogs as well as a special shelter animal ambassador. Activities include interactive games, crafts, dog safety exercise and a tour of the PAWS Companion Animal Shelter.
 
WILD WONDERS
Course # KW02W

Grade Level: 3rd thru 5th
Number of presentations: 1
Length of presentation: 3 hours 

Date: March 13th, 2010
Time:   11:30am – 3:00pm
Fee: $15 per participant, to cover the cost of materials

Description:Are you a nature lover? Do you want to learn more about the wild animals in our community? Then join us at PAWS for this half-day workshop and discover how to appreciate, respect and help wildlife. This workshop will be packed with interactive games, crafts, nature trail walk on the PAWS campus, and an opportunity to handle animal artifacts (e.g. owl wings, hawk talon).

Registration
Programs are available once a month on a selected date. Registration is handled on a first come, first served basis. Fees/Cancellation Policy
A $15 fee will be collected to cover the cost of materials. Fees are non-refundable. Materials are purchased in advance based on registered participants.  If your child is unable to attend the session, or if the workshop is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, you have the option to reschedule to a later available workshop.

Workshop Etiquette
Individuals who attend this program are expected to be respectful of both the Staff and animals at the PAWS campus. Students are expected to follow directions and behave as they would in any other classroom setting.
