How to Help
Youth Heroes
Anasophia Main Content
Each year Anasophia creates a calendar to sell and donates the money she makes to help a good cause. Her 2008 calendar is titled "For Wildlife, Love AMS."
When we asked Anasophia more about her calendar project, here is what she told us: "My friend, Brenda Peterson - a nature writer and wildlife activist - introduced me this last summer to many stories of seal pups; and, the Volunteer Organization Brenda started to protect the pups called "The Seal Sitters." These stories included the outstanding work that the PAWS Wildlife Center did in saving or attempting to save the lives of seriously injured seal pups. Also, I followed the story this past fall of an injured mallard who lives in the pond across the street from my home. The mallard was picked up and, taken to the wildlife center and cared for until his foot was healed. I like the work that the PAWS Wildlife Center is doing, so, wanted the proceeds from my calendar this year to go toward supporting them so that more lives of wild birds and animals can be saved."
PAWS thanks you for sharing your hard work and creativity to help animals in need!
