Caroleve

On March 17, 2007 the PAWS Youth Helping Animals Award was given to Caroleve at Wild Night, a party to raise money for PAWS. She may only be seven, but Caroleve has already accomplished so much for animals.

During the summer, Caroleve raised nearly $400 for animals through the sale of homemade dog scarves, cat toys and lemonade. She presented her Donation in person at PAWSwalk 2006.

Caroleve plays an important role with her family as a PAWS Volunteer foster home. Caroleve and her family help care for sick and very young puppies and kittens in their own home. Once the foster animals are healthy, Caroleve writes descriptions about them to help PAWS make sure they get loving, responsible, permanent homes.

Caroleve recently announced to her family that she would no longer eat meat because of her love for animals.

Caroleve's special ability to understand all animals and their needs has impressed her family and community. Her dedication and compassion are an inspiration to us all.
