Cassandra has been an animal lover since she was little. One day she hopes to Volunteer at an Animal Shelter and have a career as a dog trainer.

A magazine article that Cassandra read gave her the idea of having her birthday party at a shelter and collecting donations rather than gifts. She loved the idea and began planning a dog-themed party. She included the PAWS wish list with the party invitations and was very proud to tell all her friends about the types of things that the animals need.

The following day she came to PAWS with her mom and two friends to deliver the donations. All three girls were heartbroken to see how many animals are without a home of their own.

Her 9th birthday party was a great success and it even inspired one of her friends to collect donations for Charity at her birthday party! For her 10th birthday her family plans to adopt a dog and will begin the search at PAWS.
