Sarah

Sarah has always been a girl who loves animals. Sarah grew up with cats, bunnies and chickens, taking responsibility for their care and giving them lots of love and attention. Sarah’s care for animals extends to wild animals as well. She is careful not to harm sea creatures when visiting tidepools and places earthworms stranded on pavement back in soil and grass.

When she learned about animal shelters, she convinced her family to adopt a dog. They soon found Angel the dog at the local shelter and brought her home to join the family. But Sarah has done even more to help homeless animals: she donates a portion of her allowance to Animal Welfare groups and coordinated a supply drive for her local shelter. Her class set-up collection boxes for each grade, gave presentations explaining the project and regularly inventoried items until delivery time. In the end she collected over 150 pounds of food!

Sarah is looking forward to being old enough to Volunteer walking dogs at the shelter. One of her goals in life is to get a college education and find a career that will pay well enough for her to open an Animal Shelter of her own. Sarah has inspired her entire school and everyone at PAWS with her dedication to improving the lives of animals.
