Spruce Elementary

Did you notice the cat and dog on the PAWS home page? Every week during the school year kids at Spruce Elementary School write special profiles one dog and one cat waiting to be adopted at the PAWS shelter. Students in Ms. Warmouth and Ms. Walters classes receive pictures and descriptions of 2 animals waiting to be adopted. After studying the information, they write a creative essay about each animal. These essays are posted on the PAWS website. Past essays can also be seen on the Kids Website. These imaginative stories help people learn about what animals need from a responsible guardian or family. The stories also get people interested in visiting PAWS to adopt a Companion animal. Ms. Warmouth and Ms. Walters classes are using creative writing, technology, and lots of love to make a difference for homeless pets in their community.
